Making Time

I have not had the time I thought I would have to blog about living in Los Angeles. I work 9-6 every day, and I have class two nights a week. Plus, these two internship journals a week are sucking up my free time. I'm going to make an effort to blog more, though.

My roommate Julie is working today. Brittni, another of my roommates, is volunteering for the Produced By Conference on the Sony lot today. So, Ashley and I are going to explore Los Angeles today. I will update later about what we decided to explore.

Welcome!

    I received an e-mail during the middle of the spring semester about the LA Internship Program run through the FMA department in the School of Communications and Theater. I ran the idea by my parents, and applied for the program. I found out in the beginning of April that I was accepted into the program. I decided that this would be the opportune time to start a blog.

            I will be spending the majority of the summer of 2009 in Los Angeles. I hope to do some traveling when I get home in mid-July to when I return to school this fall. Next spring I hope to be studying abroad in Italy at Temple’s Rome campus. I tend to get stir-crazy if I am in one place for too long, so I will probably be doing more traveling after that.

            The internship(s) that I will be doing this summer in the LA Internship Program will be the first public relations and/or marketing internships I have done. If I have time this fall (I am taking six classes and will be busier than ever with my organizations), I would like to do an internship. Next summer when I return from Italy, I want to stay in Philadelphia and do an internship. I also hope to be doing internships during my senior year.

            I intend for this blog to be a combination of my internship experiences and the traveling I will be doing in the next couple of years. I hope someone finds it useful or as a form of entertainment.
